In the present, addressed to the Divines of the Westminster Assembly, the Dutch Reformed church expresses their solidarity with the Scottish Covenanters and in ways that are subtle, but unmistakable, shows support for Scotland and Presbyterianism in the developing Civil War, over and against the Crown.
