1861 WILLIAM G. BLAIKIE. David, King of Isreal. Signed in Leather & Recommended by Spurgeon.
Inexplicably, this classic by W. G. Blaikie has not been reprinted as often as most of the other volumes Spurgeon gave his highest commendation to. The Klock & Klock edition the lone exception. Spurgeon praised Blaikie as a writer and said the work supplied a great lack of quality works on David. The present copy is neatly inscribed by the author, neatly bound in full divinity calf, and is a rather tidy example. Blaikie, William G. David, King of Israel The Divine Plan and Lessons of His Life. By the Rev. William G. Blaikie, A. M. Author of "Bible History, in Connexion with the History of the World," Etc. Second Edition. London. James Nisbet and Co. 1861. 381pp. A good + copy, bound in leather, generally solid, with generally bright pages that are a bit handled.
