Designing these haunting, undead portraits, was a delightful creative undertaking! I challenged myself to find creative combinations, and some portraits lent themselves perfectly to certain monsters. Spooky Hollow meets the Napoleonic wars in this version of the Headless Horseman, a reference to Jacques-Louis David's portrait of Napoleon Crossing the Alps. Fun threads and stitches add to the drama and movement in the piece. 4x5" oval hand painted and stitch painted on 18 mesh. Stitch guide included as an automatic digital download!
