"Winged Death" Enamel Needleminder

This needleminder design was inspired by the "Winged Death" icon popular on many Puritan-era headstones from New England. Early versions of this motif are simple, with a rudimentary skull and wings, representing the soul's journey to heaven after death. Later iterations included more intricate stonework and carvings, such as the ornate border on this design.  This needleminder is 1.5" wide by .75" tall, with two strong magnets, one for each side of your needlepoint canvas.
