Hydrangea macrophylla 'Bailmacseven', also known as 'Eclipse', is a new 2024 First Edition Bigleaf hydrangea release. 'Eclipse' in unique in that its deep purple near black leaves retain their color all season even in warm climates. Big bi-color flowers of cranberry with cream centers on dramatic leaves: it's giving enchanting moodiness. Recommended for in ground or container planting. Makes for excellent cut flowers! Bloom: spring - summer Light: full sun to part shade Spacing: 3 - 5' Height at maturity: 3 - 5' Soil - well drained, regular garden soil Pruning: avoid cut back after mid June.
