Part One entered the subway graffiti movement in 1974 just after the foundation for piecing had been laid down. He began doing the bubble and mechanical styles of the era, and by 1975-6 he truly came into his own. From 1977 to 1980 few writers could compete with Part One and his TDS partners. These young men burned the subway lines from Brooklyn to the Bronx with their elaborately stylized letterforms and innovative color schemes. At the time Part One s aliases Fudge 357 and Worm 2 were seen on the trains in great abundance. Today, Part One continues to burn and is considered an original New York City style master. The ON THE RUN book, Part One The Death Squad, is one of great historical importance. Part One of The Death Squad Fame and his crew have remained somewhat under the radar in regards to media recognition, even though they are considered one of the most prolific and influential style crews in the history of graffiti.
