An exquisite early 19th century French Empire secretary, meticulously restored and sourced from Paris, France. Masterfully hand-crafted from rich mahogany, the piece is topped with its original Italian black marble featuring elegant white veining. The structure has been fully restored and gently refinished to highlight the depth and movement of the aged wood grain. Just below the marble sits a storage drawer with its original lock and key, followed by a slant front door adorned with a mirrored fall front, also retaining its original lock and key. The interior reveals a beautifully fitted arrangement of five drawers with dovetail joinery and original metal knobs. The writing surface has been newly restored with fine green Italian leather, adding a refined touch.
