The Cybex Aton M, the latest addition to the German manufacturer's innovative line of car seats, builds on the safety features of the Aton models by adding a new SafeLock base. In addition to the load leg seen on the Cybex Aton Q and Cloud Q models, the Aton M base features an anti-rebound bar that further stabilizes the base in the event of collision. Together, the load leg and anti-rebound bar minimize the car seat's rotation in a crash, reducing the risk of head and neck injury. The Aton M also features the Cybex linear side-impact protection system, in which telescoping arms extend toward the car doors to transfer crash forces into the shell of the seat and away from the baby. The side-impact protection system absorbs up to 25 percent more forces in a crash, according to Cybex.
