The Studebaker Penny

This coin is our first release from a die set we made from scratch. It’s a proof of concept, not only of our ability to design with this form language, but of our ability to use this space we’ve created alongside our supporters to enrich our offerings and continue to pursue a deeper, more intimate relationship with craft. When we looked at these coins, we weren’t quite sure what to do with them.  We love them, we see great value in them, but they aren’t a particularly utilitarian object. They won’t adorn your body, hold your keys or open your beer.  They simply exist. We would like them to exist as a symbol, as a token of our commitment to our values.  The purchase of this coin is an endorsement of our mission, and an investment in our growth.
