Earrings: From Mud to Studs

Turn clay into statement earrings, pendants & more. You’ve got great taste—now it’s time to make something worthy of your ears (or wrists or neck). In this 4-week class, you'll design and create your own ceramic earrings, beads, and wearable art from scratch. You’ll start by sketching or tracing your pieces, testing techniques, and making trays to keep your tiny treasures organized. You’ll learn how to shape beads, create holes or hangers, and use transfers (available for purchase if you’d like a little extra flair). Week two is for sculpting all your pieces—quirky shapes? matching pairs? a whole set? Totally up to you. Glazing happens in week three, where you'll plan where glaze should go—and where it absolutely shouldn't. Finally, in week four, it’s assembly time. You'll bring your pieces together with jewelry findings (the hooks, clasps, and jump rings that turn clay into wearable art) and show off your collection in a casual, celebratory last class.
