* Prerequisite: Cylinder Bootcamp In Handles and Pitchers, you’ll explore multiple handle styles and learn how to create both pulled and hand-built spouts. By the end of the course, you’ll have: At least 2 pitchers with well-crafted spouts A multi-handled pot 6 different handle styles This class will push your creativity. To create high-quality pitchers, spouts and handles need to align both in design and function. You’ll focus on handle placement for ease of pouring and minimizing drips. You'll be using your sketchbook, so you can plan and experiment with designs before committing to the full pot. Week 1: Learn 5 variations of basic handles, both pulled and hand-built. Begin attaching handles to your Handle Example Pot. Week 2: Explore basic spouts. You’ll need a leather-hard cylinder and a fresh cylinder with a thicker rim. Learn how to pull a spout from the fresh clay and add a hand-built spout to the leather-hard. Week 3: Study handles for different pots, including crocks,
