About the photo:  "In 1995 I was asked to photograph a new campaign for the New York City Ballet. I was to photograph their principal dancers in iconic NYC locations. My first shoot was to create "Swan Lake" starring the legendary dancer, Darci Kistler, on a pond in Central Park with the Plaza as our background. After months of conversations with Central Parks Conservancy, we were allowed to build an underwater scaffolding. Our stage was an 8' x 8' sheet of plexiglass 1/8th" below the waterline. On a gorgeous Spring morning, Darci was escorted out on a rowboat and became that gorgeous swan On Pointe in that pond! She
