SECOND * Ferry and Seagull Stoneware Jar

Hand-thrown and painstakingly painted stoneware jar with an imperfectly fitting top. The inner flange is a little too wide so, although the lid will not fall in the jar, a sliver of the jar interior is exposed if the lid is pushed all the way to one side. This piece was made using a new-to-us clay that didn't vitrify at the same temperature the clays we are accustomed to do, resulting in a slightly porous piece (seeps a small amount of water when tested). It is marked as "not food safe" on the bottom. Still perfect for jewelry, tea bags, or your secret cash stash! 4" wide, 4" tall
