Rug Tufting Experience

About the Class Designed for beginners, in this 3-hour custom rug tufting workshop, receive detailed guidance on operating a tufting gun and tufting techniques to create your own rug on a 32″x 34″ frame. We provide the tufting gun, primary backing, a selection of yarn colors, rug tufting frames, fabric glue, and backing finishes. If you’ve chosen a design that uses specific colors, or a lot of a single color, you’re always welcome to bring your own yarn to ensure you get the desired design outcome. How it Works Once you book a class, you will receive an email with tips on selecting your design. You’ll want 2-3 options saved on your phone to bring to the studio. When you arrive, we’ll work with you to select the best design and set you up to trace using our projectors. After 30 minutes, we’ll start with an instructional tufting demonstration, and you’ll have about 1 ½ hours to tuft. After your experience is over, we will glue, trim and shave your rug.
