2009 Bridge of Sighs, a bridge connecting two buildings that stretches over a shared canal in Venice, Italy. Long ago, prisoners were led through this tunnel after being given a death sentence. It was said the prisoners knowing their fate stopped to peer out the window to the canal and uttered their final 'sighs', thus the name was given. Watercolor and ink.
