R. Dutoit Chardonnay 'Les Vieilles Vignes'

Since 1983, the Dutoit family's wines from the Pouilly-Fuisse region have graced the shelves at smaller, indie wine shops like Table Wine. All of their vines are old, but the family is incredibly meticulous about when they'll actually apply the Pouilly-Fuisse name to their various bottlings. This 100% Chardonnay is harvested in the south of France. It is grown in clay-limestone soils influenced by the Mediterranean climate. Beautiful, brilliant yellow. Inviting nose of white fleshed fruits and honey. The palate is lively and crisp on the attack with aromas of pear and white peach, it shows lots of volume on the finish.
