Handwoven from river rushes, the Junta Hat has a low crown and full brim. The rushes, called Junco in spanish, are soaked to soften and woven in whole strips, giving it a rich, textured look. We work with female cooperatives in Peru who forage, strip and hand weave these hats using traditional methods. This is a fully artisanal product. Comes with a leather chinstrap for windy days. Specify if you’d like Undyed leather or Tan, or let us choose for you.
