Reflections in the Rain 3

Sara Marlowe Hall created this limited watercolor series at home while listening to the rain and records and watching the L.A. river start to overflow. Limited to the materials she had readily available — a small palette of watercolors and mixed sizes of paper — Hall created this series of 22 small paintings in a few days filled with cooking, painting and listening to records. Each work on paper is inspired by the reflections, sounds, shapes and patterns taken in on her walks by the L.A. River and her home in Atwater Village.
