The flowers are bowl-shaped. This variety blooms well, too. The emerald green center receptacle is ringed with milky white stamen. The petals are tipped with pink and green on the young flower.       How do I fertilize lotus? When do I begin to fertilize lotus? Wait until the lotus plant has several floating leaves or begins to put up aerial leaves before adding fertilizer.
