This lacquer kōgō (香合 - incense container) is decorated using the traditional raden (螺鈿 - mother of pearl inlay) technique, with geometric and floral patterns dancing across the piece in shimmering iridescent colours. The kōgō comes with its original kiribako (桐箱 - wooden paulownia box).
