Exquisite attention to detail with fine floral marquetry inlays and a central marquetry vignette with musical instruments accented with a bow. The stunning marble top is original and the bronze mounts crisply cast. Exquisitely crafted during the 19th century, this elegant French marble-top commode features subtle bowfront lines on the drawer facade and serpentine lines on each side. Lavished with walnut veneer which has been oriented by wood grain to create visual appeal, it was also designed with intricately inlaid marquetry cornerposts. Bronze ormolu mounts include intricately cast drawer pulls, keyguards and a foliate flourish on the apron.
