I am inspired by the moon and the lunar calendar and the sphere as a symbolic shape of containing, holding and balance. The idea for this piece came to me one morning as I was sitting down to breakfast. The light was coming into the window and reflecting a shape onto another painting that was hung on the wall. I could see this shape emerging and beckoning me to paint it. The shape of the upside down triangle in this work is an invitation to enter a wild space filled with knowledge, power and presence.
