New addition to the Cactus Outlet! We have the Santa-rita, the Beavertail, the BeavertailxSanta-rita hybrid and now the Beaver-rita! The Beaver-rita is a hybrid crossing the Santa-rita with the Beavertail prickly pear. This hybrid presents more like a Santa-rita prickly pear in pad shape and growth habit. This hybrid retains the pink flower from the Beavertail cross. As a bonus, this hybrid also tends to be on the more purple side with seasonal variations based on weather, sun exposure and available moisture. Cold hardy to zone 7. Makes a great landscape specimen or potted plant. Both of our Santa-ritaxBeavertail hybrids look good together because of the contrast in pad size and growth habit.
