
Coville Barrel Cactus
Another new addition to the cactus outlet barrel family. Coville's barrel cactus is a sub-species of Ferocactus emoryi. Coville's barrel cactus is a Sonoran desert native. Coville's barrel cactus can be found in Southern Arizona and down through Baja in Mexico. Coville's barrel cactus produces red flowers with large yellow fruit. The spines are a mix of red and white and appear cage like around the body of the plant. The geometrical spine pattern makes this barrel cactus a bit unique in appearance. Coville's barrel cactus is relatively cold hardy, taking temperatures as low as twenty degrees for short durations. Very interesting low care landscape plant in the ground or a pot. Coville's barrel is also a great slow growing and minimal care plant for those in cooler climates. Our plants are 8"x8", acclimated to full sun conditions and are shipped to you bare root. These barrel cactus are in absolute perfect condition and ready for their new home.
