REGION: Piedmont COUNTRY: Northern Italy GRAPE(S): 100% Nebbiolo BODY: Medium/Full ABV: 13.5% Fruity aromas of raspberry and sour cherry, followed by wild herbs. The palate mirrors with raspberry seeds, green herbs, hints of rose and violet, and soft, dusty tannins, culminating in a rich, complex finish. WINEMAKING NOTES: Maceration on the skins for five days in stainless steel. Ages six months in large, mostly neutral French oak casks coopered in Austria. PAIRS WELL WITH: Aged cheeses, Truffle pastas, Mushroom risotto, grilled lamb chops with rosemary, braised beef or veal stew.
