Clown Loach General Information Clown Loaches are by far one of the most popular bottom feeders and loaches in the hobby. These super active loaches are know for their unique color pattern and size. Clown Loaches are light tan with vertical black stripes with reddish tips on their fins. Clown Loaches will grow to be about 8+" in length at full adult size. They will eat crustaceans so proceed with caution if you have snails specifically in your aquarium. Tankmates Clown Loaches are a docile species of loach that can be paired with many different species. They are adequate for community aquariums as long as there are not snails in tank. Many fish keepers will also pair Clown Loaches with African Cichlids or larger American Cichlids because they are large and fast moving. Feeds Clown Loaches are bottom feeders by nature so they will typically feed on extra feed and debris on the bottom of the tank.
