Dip the cutter in cornstarch to prevent sticking. Dust off any excess with your finger or clay tapper. Press into clay with a slight wiggle side to side, then pull straight up—try not to angle the cutter as you lift. Use a soft, fluffy brush (like a makeup brush) to gently remove excess cornstarch.
