White spherical vase with Cornus flower
The Cornus flower is a very simple flower that embodies the formal elegance of clean lines. It can be found in various shades but always in very soft colors: white, light green, pink and even yellow. As the flower ripens, it sometimes varies from soft green to white to light yellow. But the most fascinating aspect of this plant, in addition to the early flowering in spring, is that the flowers of the leaves bloom first. The plant is loaded with small buds that open in a generous bloom that then gives way to the verdant leaves. In this jar I tried to represent the cornus flower in its essential forms, the roughness and the irregular course of its petals. It will be perfect with the cut flowers of the garden inside, when there are any, or to remember the generous flowering of this plant. MATERIALS: stoneware, ceramic, stoneware, glaze, clay
