Clary sage (Salvia sclarea) is a biennial or short-lived perennial herb known for its strong, aromatic scent and striking flowers. It features large, wrinkled, hairy leaves with a toothed margin and a distinctive scent, often described as fresh, clean, and herbaceous. In its second year, it produces tall, showy flower spikes with small, two-lipped flowers surrounded by large, colorful bracts, which can be pink, lavender, or white. The plant typically grows 3-4 feet tall and 2-3 feet wide. IT is well known for it's medicinal and culinary uses.  We grow a lot of this at our Foothill site, and let me tell you- the bees hang around them all day! Biennial Pollinator Friendly
