The culmination of five years of independent releases, whilst building up a large cult following, their debut album reached Number 14 the UK charts, by which time the band featured Wayne Hussey on guitar and Craig Adams on bass, both of whom would later leave the band to form The Mission. Originally signing to Warners in 1984, the album was preceded by three EPs: Body & Soul, Walk Away and No Time to Cry. Each EP featured non-album bonus tracks, and all three are included in the vinyl box set.
