3/2 - Day-Long Block Printing Intensive

Sunday, March 2, 202510 AM - 4 PM (with 30 min. lunch break) The Local Hand1912B Dorchester Ave, Boston, MA 02124 Registration Deadline: Friday, Feb 28, 8 PM Join us for a day-long printmaking workshop, where we will explore the world of block printing with local artist Susana McDonnell.  Susana will demonstrate some basic carving and printing techniques and introduce us to all of the fun materials.  Each person will then be able to hard-carve their own blocks into a soft rubber matrix.  In the first part of the workshop, we will create a set of 6-8 greeting cards using stamps that we make.  After the lunch break, you'll be able to create a larger piece on paper.  Susana will teach us how to mix and match shapes and layer different colors to create your own beautiful design.    This workshop is beginner-friendly, and also a great follow-up if you have attended one of our introductory printmaking workshops before.
