Selmer Paris Mark VI Professional Alto Saxophone SN 84399 EXCELLENT

The Selmer Mark VI is an icon of modern saxophone playing, being the instrument of choice for jazz greats by the score. This one is a terrific player. This is from the early '5-digit' vintage that many think is the best for these instruments - we place this horn at a 1959 vintage.Lacquer is not original and about 75-80% present - looks very good - note the resoldered keyguard foot. Neck is original with matching serial number and looks great, though it does have a repaired pickup port.  Pads and action are excellent.
