This is a very lightly used and in excellent condition 7-string incarnation of the very successful PRS Mark Holcomb signature model, dubbed the SE Mark Holcomb SVN. The SVN comes in two versions; one with a classy walnut veneer and an all-satin finish for a super smooth feel, and this one with a glossy Holcomb Burst finish (keeping the neck satin). When Periphery needs to go the extra mile of tuning low – Mark reaches for this SVN both in the studio and on stage for adding that extra B-string. The guitar has an extra inch in the scale length to make it a 26.5” scale – which helps for down tuning and keeping the tension on the lowest string in check, that it doesn’t flub out.
