let's time travel together to the year 1882 using this ring as our portal. it's a portal to an era of incredible craftspeople and a time when a setting like this would typically feature an old cut diamond and be worn as an engagement ring, but this setting features a deep green cabochon. is it green turquoise? maybe! is it a wonderful dark green hard stone? yes! this ring has enough wear to prove that it's truly old, but it's missing 100+ years of patina, which hints that it has been polished repeatedly or recently the inscription inside the band is partially worn and partially lost to a previous sizing.
