a while back I found a little comb at the flea market. I asked a jeweler to add a bail. it soon became a favorite object amongst kids and grownups in our household because it brought an element of whimsy and play to combing hair. while not efficient, it's lovely to always have a comb on hand, so what it lacks in size it makes up for in style and proximity. the trouble was that there was one comb and many comb admirers, so it felt right to have a mold made and have more made via casting. so, voila! you, too, can own a tiny, adorable, functional comb. it's modern chatelaine vibes for sure. these are produced via lost wax casting & then hand finished where it was separated from the casting sprue. they have a brushed textured, organic, rustic, imperfect surface texture by design, not a shiny, polished finish, but there are a few areas where there's an absence of texture if you love perfection — this is NOT the design for you. if you love rustic, handmade, organic forms then this might
