a wonderful floral engraved, heart shaped locket crafted in sterling silver — it's a sweetheart locket from the 1940s, but this is one of the nicer, sturdier, larger, more refined examples from the era with a tight closure this style of locket doesn't have glass frames to hold photos, but there are silver edges that could hold a photo or other precious item in place within the locket solid sterling silver with a very very very faded gold wash M E A S U R E M E N T S  locket measures ~25.5mm north/south excluding bails bail has a ~6.3mm inner diameter ~6.7mm thick weighs 6.4g C O N D I T I O N  in good vintage condition hinge and closure are strong and secure recently lightly hand polished, but gently because it has the faint remnants of a gold wash — further polishing decisions are left to the buyer new, sturdy, large jump ring bail is not soldered shut This is a pre-loved item and will show surface scratches, dents, dings, dulling, wear, patina, and signs of having been worn and loved
