an elegant, chunky flat woven chain with a serpent-like movement where each link segment is constructed with three rings soldered together. it's really a genius design, expertly constructed, and then finished with a spectacular, sturdy flat clasp  yes, you could potentially use this necklace's links as the base for an unconventional charm necklace solid sterling silver M E A S U R E M E N T S  20.5" long links are ~11.2mm wide and ~3.2mm thick weighs a hefty 58.2g C O N D I T I O N  in good vintage condition until recently it was nearly-black with patina, but the patina was uneven and the style of the link makes it difficult to selectively polish patina in the recessed details. So, the choice was made to start over and strip the patina almost-completely, revealing the bright white silver hue. there are still a few areas with some stubborn patina this appears to be a handmade chain and the links aren't perfectly uniform, which gives the necklace a wonderful, organic look and feel. if yo
