it's an oldie and a goodie and may very well date to the victorian era, but let's hedge our bets and guess that it's more recent. in the style of a fede gimmel ring these two thin pipe cut bands fit together like puzzle pieces, though the bands are very slightly out of alignment with one another they're full of potential symbolism: partnership, friendship, commitment, assistance, deals done the bands (and hands) are very thin by design, designed to be stacked between other bands, and at one time the bands were soldered together to add structure and strength, but that eliminated its party trick of being two bands in one, so that decision was reversed and the two bands are once again separated from each other unmarked solid 18k yellow gold with some solder seams with lower karats M E A S U R E M E N T S size 5.75 clasped hands measure ~6.25mm north/south on the finger 4mm rise off of the finger each band is ~0.7mm thick (that's thin) x rises ~1.3mm off the finger combined weight of 2g C
