Basis for Francis Ford Coppola's 1983 film, starring Ralph Macchio, Patrick Swayze, Matt Dillon, Rob Lowe, Tom Cruise, and Diane Lane. A classic of young adult literature.  New York: The Viking Press, 1967. Publisher's original black cloth, spine lettered in bright orange; pp. 188. An about near fine copy in a very good or better, price-intact dust jacket. Binding remains firm, minimal wear to boards. Light staining and erased pencil mark to flyleaf, else internally clean. Jacket remains bright and vivid, showing just minor shelfwear and rubbing, bottom corner of front flap clipped, protected in archival mylar.
