Initiation and Its Results by Rudolf Steiner 1910 Theosophical Publishing Society (Second Edition Limited to 1500 copies ) This is one of the few surviving copies of this edition. Due to the erroneous assumption that the symbol was associated with the Nazi swastika symbol, most of these copies were destroyed, defaced or rebound. There is also a small facing swastika of the First US Edition but it is not quite as prominent as this First and Second U.K Editions which were each limited to 1500 copies. The symbol was obviously not associated with the Nazis and was intended by Steiner to represent the symbols original essence; that of the four petaled lotus. The swastika symbol has been used as a symbol of divinity and spirituality throughout many ancient cultures including Hinduism, Buddhism and Jainism, and Indian religions.
