"Americans- All of Us" is a c1943 poster created by Ralph Moses for the National Safety Council. A group of older men, both in Army and Navy hats as well as portrayed as office workers and laborer make up this poster with the message that all men working, whether at home or in the service, are contributors to the war effort. The National Safety Council is a non-profit, public service organization that is separate from the U.S. Government. It was founded in 1913 at the birth of the American Labor Movement to advocate for workplace safety. During World War II, worker safety was a major theme of public service announcements.These messages often promoted the importance and need of production on the homefront. Other themes relating to the workforce included healthy eating, proper usage of tools, and warnings about taking too much time off from work.
