My Tank's In the War Too
This poster from 1944 was designed by Walter Richards to promote a government campaign for saving gas and eliminating black market purchasing of it. During WWII, the United States heavily promoted conservation of war materials such as metal, rubber, gas and food among others. This poster shows a gas attendant proudly asserting that he only sells gasoline to customers who have the correct paperwork. While we were able to attribute this poster to Walter Richards, we were unfortunately unable to learn much about his life or career outside of this design. This is an Original Vintage Poster; it is not a reproduction. This poster is conservation mounted, linen backed, and in excellent condition. We guarantee the authenticity of all of our posters.
