Domaine Charvin, Chateauneuf-du-Pape (2022)

Domaine Charvin's Châteauneuf-du-Pape Rouge (2021) is a biodynamic and organic-certified wine, made from Grenache and Syrah. The estate, established in 1851, is renowned for its commitment to organic farming and producing wines that reflect the purity and terroir of the region. Traditional winemaking methods are employed, with no destemming, fermentation, and aging occurring exclusively in concrete tanks for 21 months. The wine is bottled unfiltered to maintain its integrity. This wine is well-balanced, with velvety tannins, and a bouquet of ripe cherries, thyme, and a subtle touch of black pepper. Medium-bodied, it offers great aging potential over the next 20 years. Despite its potential for aging, it is already approachable and can be enjoyed in its youth after just a little breathing. Charvin's 2021 vintage has received top ratings from the Revue du Vin de France and is regarded as one of the most highly-rated wines in the region.
