Amarone enthusiasts are familiar with the wines of Veronese legend Giuseppe Quintarelli. His son-in-law, Celestino Gaspari, who learned his craft on the Quintarelli estates, now operates his own winery, Zyme (pronounced Zee-may). The Zyme Valpolicella is a smooth, rich, and complex red wine with layers of deep fruit notes underscored by fresh, bright acidity and perfectly-integrated alcohol. This wine drinks well above its price point and pairs beautifully with a teriyaki pork and rice dish.
