Syrah dominant and perfectly rounded out with Grenache, Mourvédre, and Cinsault, the Columella evokes all the finest elements of Chateauneuf-du-Pape, but without the dense, tooth-staining extraction and sky-high alcohol. Instead, you have a wine of superior elegance and arresting complexity. Exuberant blue and purple floral notes, black pepper and spice, and bright red and black fruit erupt from the bottle as soon as you open it.
