Fumio Fujita (Japan, 1933) sweet woodblock in blue tone of rows of trees. Titled, signed, dated 1972, and Limited edition 148/200 in pencil at base. Excellent condition. Simple frame measures 24" x 19", print measures 16" x 11". As found on Fujita site: Fumio Fujita is recognized as a significant figure within the sosaku hanga art movement of Japanese post-war woodblock printmaking. He earned his degree from the oil painting department of the Musashino College of Fine Arts. Fujita's artistic focus lies in depicting landscapes, which he simplifies to their essential design elements and lines while maintaining a representational style.
