This absolutely stunning chromolithograph was meant to cover the hole left by the wood stove pipe when removed from the house in the summer.  The print is backed with cardboard and secured in a metal frame with an eye-catching gold metallic frame.  Centered in the frame is a young Victorian woman clad in jewels.  While flue covers may not be needed anymore they have become a wonderful decorative item for the home to be admired for years to come.     Additional Details Date: 1890-1900 Materials: Glass, metal, cardboard Measurements: 7.5" diameter Markings: None Condition: Fair-Good. While this flue cover is structurally sound it has some paint loss to the gold metallic paint that was reverse painted onto the glass. Many flue covers have a chain for hanging and this one does not have its chain. We often feel wear on antique items adds character and this piece will still look beautiful in your home. Cleaning and Care Wipe with damp microfiber cloth.
