2004 Henri Germain et Fils Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Morgeot (750ml)

Allen Meadows - Burghound A completely different nose of herbs, earth, peach, melon and straw with added hints of earth and wood spice lead to big, sweet and well-muscled flavors that are borderline robust that possess more concentration and a bit more dry extract that really coats the palate on the sappy finish. This is unusually refined for this vineyard and while it can't compete in this regard with the Perrières, neither is it the rustic wine that Morgeot often is. (Drink starting 2009) (9/2006)
