2017 Thibaud Boudignon Anjou Blanc (750ml)
92 points Wine Advocate Boudignon's 2019 Anjou Blanc is pure, elegant, intense (in a delicate way) and chalky on the nose. It is full-bodied and concentrated but refined and perfectly balanced on the palate, with ripe and lush fruit aromas, lingering salinity and fine mineral grip. This is an intense, sustainable, very finessed and stimulating, almost Chablis-like Anjou that is a great pleasure to drink even today. I tasted the wine from the same bottle again after 34 days, and it was still absolutely fresh, tight, intense and simply gorgeous. 14% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted in December 2021. SR (1/2022) Thibaud Boudignon is one of the most exciting figures in wine today. These are very special wines. His dry Chenin Blanc wines are some of the best you will come across and his Rosé is one of our favorites. From 38 year-old Chinin Blanc vines planted high density on shallow soils of grey schist and rhyolite. A wine that is pure and precise.
