2016 Caprili Brunello di Montalcino Ad Alberto Riserva (750ml) Pre-Arrival

"The Caprili winery and vineyards are located in Tavernelle, in the warm southwestern part of Montalcino. These vineyards were once part of the original Pieve Santa Restituta estate before being purchased by Alfo Bartolommei in 1965. They also happen to be adjacent to the vineyards of Soldera. Today the winery is run by Giacomo Bartolommei, who is very much responsible for breathing new life into the estate. Bartolommei currently oversees twenty-one hectares, positioned around 225-340 meters, and planted in sandy soils mixed with limestone and rock. The style of the house remains traditional, using native yeasts, long-ish macerations and aging all in large neutral casks.
